Week Eight
Talk with Sue
after mid sem break I wanted to talk to Sue to get feedback on what I expect for myself in the coming weeks, although currently my programming is up in the air I have a rough idea of the direction Im going in.
When explaining my idea to Sue I got a lot of good feedback where she said my idea was going in the right direction I just need to refine and decide the next steps now. I have already decided what my spaces will be
- bar/ cafe
- public laneway
- communal work space
- individual work space
- meeting rooms
- workshops
- open studio
Sue suggested that since the top floor was to encourage the use of creative process for artist or who ever idesired that I use the oppurtinity to add a screening room, this made alot of sense to me as it was a consideration when first developing my concept but I wasnt 100%
Moving forward

I started to take a lot of considerations into my programming before 3D modeling, this allowed for me to work faster and decide on a final programme before making on a model and deleting if it didnt worl
After sketching out my ideas I researched the required distances in order to fit in with building code
- 1200mm accesibilty wheelcar
- 300mm between tables min
- 800mm walkway
These need to be consistent with my designs in order to make sure this is a functional programme of a cafe/bar
it became clear what layout I wanted and this meant I could start to 3D model my ideas to get a sense of placement
